Trinidad and Tobago's rural development is often placed on a metaphorical back burner to urban development. With education recognized as a leading stimulator for community development, rural schools and communities in Trinidad and Tobago work in solidarity toward community progress. This qualitative case study focuses on rural educators' and community members' opinions and visions for school-community partnerships. The study answers the question: How do rural educators and residents envision a better future for their schools and communities through school-community relationship building? Participants acknowledged that the current type of school-community partnership could be improved. They envisioned their school and community working together to address social challenges and supporting each other's development.
