Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a large part of everyday work in adult education has been digitalized and reorganized. Although various studies examine institutional levels of digitalization before or during the crisis, there is only insufficient research on the digital future of adult education in post-pandemic times. Using the Delphi technique, 27 experts (adult educators in managerial positions) have been asked to make, select, and assess predictions through three consecutive online survey rounds. The results illustrate how numerous pandemic-induced developments transcend mere corona measures: Many processes of digital adaption are expected to persist while digital innovations will find their way into post-pandemic adult education. Experts principally welcome the anticipated future but also express distinct training needs for adult educators.
