Abstract

Virtual Global Engagement (VGE) has emerged as a vital component in teacher education, assuming an increasingly significant role in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. This research study explores the perceptions and engagement of 48 pre-service teachers participating in the VGE project toward online learning and teaching. The study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilizing quantitative and qualitative data to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The findings provide valuable insights into pre-service teachers' perceptions and experiences regarding online teaching and learning, emphasizing the need for adequate training and support to address the challenges associated with this mode of education.
