Decolonial, Brown Trans* Commons is a conceptual piece on the limits and possibilities of Latinidad and other modern/colonial categories of existence. Thinking with the late Jose Esteban Muñoz, Sylvia Wynter, and decolonial feminists across Abya Yala, this presentation will discuss innovative conceptual and practical approaches to thinking with brown trans* commons on matters of abolition, views on epistemic justice and the role of asymmetrical and temporal simultaneity, when contending with intermeshed oppressions and interlocking systems of colonial power as lived through Latinidades and transness.
