In a quest to overcome time constraints and optimize learning outcomes, a team of researchers explored the power of Jigsaw Lesson Study (LS). The findings of this study are transformative for teacher education. Through collaborative study, teaching, observation, and reflection, not only did teacher candidates (TCs) have the opportunity to deepen their subject knowledge but also evolve into highly effective educators.A central and fundamental goal of education is critical thinking (Gadzella & Masten, 1998; Halpern, 1998). Researchers sought to determine the impact on TCs’ professional growth, and this study uncovers the transformative impact of Jigsaw LS as TCs fully engage with their subject areas, embrace collaboration, and gain a heightened awareness of student learning. Jigsaw LS holds immense potential for advancing teacher education.
