This participatory, emancipatory, and feminist action research study examines one high school Black student union and their advisors as they try to add intersectional, anti-racist, and transformative school-wide activities in a predominately white institution. The central focus is their process of creating, planning, and enacting a school-wide Black Lives Matter at Schools Week of Action during Black History Month.
