In this study, we document the iterative design of a humanized executive dashboard sourced by narrative data from mentors of early-career teachers in a university-district induction program. First, we detail the background and rationale behind designing this documentation system and subsequent dashboard iterations over the course of three years. Then, we discuss how University-District Induction Program (UDIP) stakeholders adapted the dashboard data to their local contexts and evaluate its efficacy in constructing a new educational possibility: responsive systemic assessment. We end by identifying design principles and hypothesizing about the disruptive potential of humanized executive dashboards, capable of evaluating the system itself by amplifying the experiences of those “on the ground” in schools.
