Parents’ math anxiety and parent-child engagement in mathematics-related activities at home are associated with children’s mathematics skills. Previous studies tested this relation with moderately racially and ethnically diverse samples. This study aimed to examine the association and interaction between caregiver-child math engagement and caregivers’ math anxiety related to children’s numeracy skills with a sample of Latine families. Participants were 828 parent-child dyads. Results from hierarchical multiple regression models demonstrated caregivers’ math anxiety and caregiver-child math engagement were both statistically significant, being caregivers' math anxiety negatively related to the child's numeracy skills. The interaction shows that caregivers’ math anxiety negatively affects the previous positive association between caregiver-child math engagement and children’s numeracy skills.
