Abstract

Racial education is essential for fostering a diverse and equitable society, intertwined with moral education and ethical considerations. Over the past 50 years, moral education has evolved significantly, reflecting changes in societal affairs and perspectives on issues like race, feminism, and human rights. Understanding the historical themes of moral education and their evolution is crucial for researchers in this field. This study utilizes natural language processing techniques, specifically Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT), to analyze the extensive corpus of literature published 50 yeras in the Journal of Moral Education. This technique enables us to discover and predict broad patterns in moral education research, which acts as a reflection and assessment of the evolution of our entire discipline field.
