As an editorial team, we recognized early in the development of the Handbook that we were individually and collectively constrained by our own experiences, scholarship, networks, contexts, and understandings of the field. This poster outlines several ways we decided to disrupt the "by-invitation-only" process of research handbook development by adopting a mixed approach to the solicitation of contributions with the aim of bringing our research community together while broadening our shared understandings of the theoretical, empirical, and practical priorities that are and should be driving research in digital literacies forward. Recommendations for cultivating inclusive and innovative practices are discussed.
