In the present paper, based on the opening chapter of a forthcoming book (release date, February 2024), we learn to learn how to develop contemporary forms of artistic inquiry through disciplinary and interdisciplinary frames of mind on issues of pedagogy, autoethnography, Arts Based Research, a/r/tography, and creativity in music research. Reflexivity (Hertz, 1995) directly extends to how artists↔researchers↔teachers can improve teacher and student inquiry through examining personal and classroom practices focused on innovational approaches to making and inventing arts, as well as provide a creative space for storying and writing. Directly linked to the 2024 AERA theme, we elaborate a platform to empower minority and marginalized teachers and students innovative, storied ways of reflexively writing about arts practices and learning.
