Thu, April 11, 4:20 to 5:50pm, Pennsylvania Convention Center, Floor: Level 200, Exhibit Hall A

Abstract

With the increasing applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for educational purposes, teachers in K-12 settings should be aware of the concept of responsible AI and its ethical implications, including issues related to privacy, bias, and fairness. As an effective instructional tool to support student learning. In this position paper, we aim to achieve two goals: (1) to identify essential knowledge and skills that will enable teachers to effectively integrate AI tools into their teaching practices; and (2) to propose an integrated framework that will guide teachers to apply AI effectively, ethically, and responsibly in the classroom. We conclude with implications for future research.
