This participatory action research study engaged Family-day home providers, working with young children birth to kindergarten, to learn about the families they serve, the quality service and care they provide, and the challenges they face in doing so. The study aimed to elevate the voices of family-day home providers as quality care options and build recognition of their importance and place within the broader Early childhood education system in Virginia.
