Through a case study approach, this research aims to deepen our understanding of how place as a remote idea influences educational experiences in Misiones, Argentina. By exploring the unique cultural and geographic context of the province, this study seeks to uncover valuable insights that can inform educational practices and policies in remote regions and contribute to the broader educational research on place. Rural and indigenous educators’ practical sense of place in the province and their ability to make do with available resources play essential roles in shaping educational outcomes in remote areas. By appreciating the complex qualities of place and leveraging local identities and assets, educators can navigate the unique challenges and foster meaningful learning experiences for their students.
