1. “Can the System Help Us?” (In)Equitable Collaboration Between Black and Latino/x Families and Urban Public School Districts

Abstract

This mixed-methods study of a community-based organization partnership with a large urban district centers the experiences of discrimination and exclusion of Black and Latino/x parents. Findings reveal parental lack of trust of the district and districts failed attempt to meet their needs. We share survey data (N=155) and focus group data.
