Afroargentines have been forced to assimilate and disappear in society, and their identities have been manipulated and silenced. Given the historic homogenization of Argentina society and the neglect of the African ancestry in Argentina, educational policies have been unable to include this historically neglected population effectively. Education research has not been able to acknowledge and respond to this reality given the lack of information about the Afroargentine community in the country. Using decolonial theory and pluriversal politics, coupled with document analysis of educational policies and interviews with people from Afroargentine movements, we aim to shed light on this problem to understand its consequences on the human development of this group and re-think of a ‘world of worlds.'
