This paper explores how creative writing workshops can empower students of color to advocate for racial and social justice through their writing. Drawing on critical literacy and Grounded theory, this study investigates the impact of engaging students of color in writing workshops on their writing voices and ability to address pressing racial and social justice issues. The main objective is to examine how students of color can speak for themselves to disrupt racial and social injustice in the workshops. Qualitative approaches will be included, such as observations and interviews. Data will be collected and analyzed based on categorized themes. The significance lies in its potential to inform teachers and educators about the importance of socially inclusive pedagogical approaches.
