Faculty members can contribute to the critical work of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) by incorporating and diversifying required course materials in order to better represent the rich diversity of their students. This paper describes the integration of DEI-focused empirical readings into discussion board assignments required in an online, graduate-level research methods course taught in a College of Education. At the end of the course, students noted that these readings and the corresponding assignments were valuable contributors to their learning of research methods.
