This research examines if and how teachers’ TPACK knowledge prepares them to use innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT to support teaching and learning.The research questions that guided the study are: What is the relationship between teachers’ existing TPACK and their self-reported knowledge to ethically integrate ChatGPT into their instruction? What are the implications of these findings for teacher education? The relationships between measures of TPACK and Intelligent-TPACK will be analyzed using Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Linear Regression Analysis to better understand how teachers’ TPACK influences their perceptions of and intent to use AI tools including ChatGPT. Implications for teacher education will be discussed.
