The faculty's experiences with COVID-19 need further investigation better to understand their future perceptions and attitudes toward online education. This study adopted a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional observational design with 147 faculty survey data from a public university in the U.S. to investigate the relationship between demographic characteristics, institutional leadership, and online transition experiences. Results indicated that school affiliation was associated with faculty satisfaction with university leadership. Part-time faculty were more satisfied with university support and perceived the research activities decreased more, but full-time faculty and associate professor perceived meeting work responsibilities became harder. The university leadership and the change in research activities correlated with the change in difficulty in meeting work responsibilities.
