Federally funded Parent Training and Information Centers (PTIs) are intended to support families of children with disabilities. A PTI in Vermont problematized that most of their clients are white, middle-class mothers of children with disabilities despite their mission to serve all Vermonters. In partnership with the PTI, we conducted a mixed-methods study to solicit input from a wide range of stakeholders about increasing accessibility to and relevance of their supports and services for all Vermonters, regardless of their race, ethnicity, or dominant language. Participants will leave this session with an understanding of our partnership, our methods and purposes for this study, and the findings and implications of the study.
