Abstract

This research explores the intersections, divergences, and tensions between critical race theory (CRT) and narrative inquiry (NI.) We begin by highlighting the theoretical foundation of CRT and the experiential foundation of narrative inquiry. We then analyze and unpack one researcher’s experience using our respective theoretical orientations. We conclude with research implications for scholars who want to take up CRT and NI.
