The present paper explores the temporal philosophy of Malcolm X, introducing the concept of “X Time,” and its pedagogical derivative, “anti-algorithmic pedagogy,” rooted in Critical Race Theory. X Time captures the dual temporal dimensions of fatalistic acceptance and urgent transformation inherent in Malcolm X’s narrative. Anti-algorithmic pedagogy parallels this temporality, theorizing an ideal educational state while emphasizing the need for its immediate realization. Using hermeneutics, critical discourse analysis, and conceptual analysis, evidence is drawn from Malcolm X’s autobiography to substantiate these concepts. The results illuminate a unique temporal perspective and its implications for pedagogical praxis. They hold significant scholarly value, enriching discourses on social justice and pedagogy, and urging immediate strides toward societal transformation.
