Research has revealed race-based challenges significantly affect the educational experiences of Asian American students and students in undocumented immigrant families. Yet, despite this evidence, Asian American students in undocumented immigrant families remain an understudied phenomenon. Utilizing intersectional and relational theoretical frameworks to emphasize an interconnected “tethered” journey, this paper explores the educational experiences of Asian Americans in immigrant families with at least one undocumented parent.
