Therapy Effectiveness in China: A Five-Year Content Analysis

Abstract

This study used a content analysis to study therapy effectiveness in China from 2018 to 2023. We analyzed 195 qualified Chinese or English journal articles to identify the publication trends, exam the counseling theories, assess the counseling theories’ efficacy, and investigate the research design. The study aims at increasing the access of mental health services on a global scale and potentially promoting the applicability of counseling training for Chinese international counseling students.
