Sun, April 14, 7:45 to 9:15am, Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Floor: Level 4, Franklin 4

Abstract

Collaborative quality improvement represents a promising approach for achieving reliable performance at scale. Using insights from health care and education, this paper outlines the development and preliminary improvement products from a network of surgery education programs. Over 30 programs collaboratively engaged in problem identification and aim setting in addition to developing an improvement theory and accompanying change package. This paper highlights the importance of technical infrastructure for organizing improvement goals, implementing change ideas, and measuring improvement over time.
