The results of this study demonstrate that teacher support can widen the global competence gap for immigrant students in collectivistic cultures and narrow the gap in individualistic cultures. Our findings offer solid evidence of how family background, teacher practices, and cultural values synergically impact immigrant students’ global competence. This study advances global competence literature and supports schools and teachers in helping immigrant students’ intercultural adaptation.
