More research is needed to explore Black caregivers world views and approaches to organizing for educational justice for their children and other Black youth in schools and communities. Drawing on interviews with Black caregivers, participant observations at organizing meetings and document analysis, this study fills this gap and explores Black caregivers’ experiences, organizing and aspirations related to education and education-related issues of Black youth and families amid pervasive antiBlackness and neoliberal reforms.
