Abstract

The project STEREO (Sports educator for new society) is a research project led by the University of Turin and conceived with a profound awareness of the sport’s transformative educational potential. It aims to empower sports operators and teachers (primary and secondary school) with the consciousness of their role in addressing social issues like racism and discrimination in sports contexts. The project offers a training path based on the dialogical method of pretext-practices, fostering critical reflection and evaluation of challenging scenarios. The expected outcomes – collected and analyzed through qualitative research strategies – concern the development of coaches' and teachers' skills to manage complexities, create an inclusive environment and increase school-sports cooperation.
