Dismantling racial injustice while simultaneously constructing educational possibilities requires that research interrogates epistemic foundations on which teacher education is premised, especially in urban teacher education. white-ability saviorism as a phenomenon that denotes who can save and who needs to be saved. This meta-ethnographic study explores how white-ability saviorism operates as an epistemological tool in urban teacher preparation informing the ways in which teacher candidates make meaning of their learning.
