This study examines the STEM Transfer pathways of Latinx Biology transfer students through the Latino Critical Race Theory framework (LatCrit) (Solórzano and Villalpando, 1998) and the culturally relevant methodology of pláticas (Fierros & Delgado Bernal, 2016). This paper takes an in-depth analysis of racism and sexism in the STEM transfer pathway in an HSI and emerging HSI. Through a critical analysis of transfer experiences, this study sheds light on how Latinx Biology students resist oppression from Biology departments, counselors, and faculty.
