Unlike traditional research publications, scholarly podcasts offer professionals an accessible and storied approach to knowledge dissemination. Therefore, we invited a group of professionals to participate in a “Pod Club.” Much like a book club, participants listened to a scholarly podcast then discussed what they heard. We sought to understand how a scholarly podcast may impact practitioners’ voiced ideas and research knowledge. In this case study, we found participants quoted podcast episodes in conversation, voiced professional knowledge, and leveraged podcast content to reframe experiences as they reconsidered personal and professional connections.Through layers of intertextuality (Bazerman, 2003), podcasts and the Pod Club afforded participants the opportunity to develop their community of practice (Lave & Wenger, 1991) and reimagine possibilities.
