A District’s Data-Driven Educational Equity Efforts: Utilizing an Interactive Equity Dashboard to Address Disparities

Abstract

This paper proposal explores a case study on achieving educational equity within the context of ABC Public Schools (ABCPS). The study emphasizes the importance of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement to ensure all students have equitable access to high-quality resources and rigorous instruction. Partnering with a research organization, ABCPS developed an innovative Equity Dashboard to visually display disparities in student outcomes and program access across groups. Using an equity audit framework, this examines three years of data to identify disparities impacting student success. The results indicate opportunities for growth and inform strategic efforts to address inequalities and achieve educational equity for all students. The findings highlight the significance of data to drive transformative change and promote inclusive educational practices.
