While much research has validated the importance of high-quality early learning to achieve successful long-term outcomes, challenges to providing such environments for all children persist. This is likely due to varied opinions and debates on how to best use and direct funds to early education and care and determine appropriate levels of support to increase quality. To address this, a large southwestern city has authorized a comprehension, multi-faceted, community-based high-quality program. Building on literature demonstrating wide variation in early learning quality, the presenters will present and discuss the importance of stable co-teaching arrangements in education centers to produce increased quality instruction for children. The presenters will also provide recommendations for increasing access to high-quality early learning in other contexts.
