We share our tentative and emergent findings from a systematic literature review of partnership processes in mathematics education research. Guiding questions for this study include: How are research partnerships operationalized in mathematics education literature? Which research partnership configurations or models are most/least frequent? How are research partnerships positioned within mathematics education empirical studies, and what insights about the processes of utilizing partnership in research endeavors have been constructed? Early insights include the relative scarcity of studying partnership processes as an object of inquiry as well as a wide variety of approaches to and concepts of partnership in mathematics education research.
