The aim of this article is to analyze the proposals of the Ayrton Senna Institute (IAS) for teacher education in Brazil. The investigation based on the method of historical-dialectical materialism, seeks to elucidate the multiple contradictions that permeate the present time in its historical character and, particularly, the discourse and production of the Institute that aim to commodify Brazilian educational policies to the logic of “appeasing” socio-emotional competences. Thus, the qualitative analysis of the competences present in the IAS documents shows strategies of simple adaptability of individuals to the environment.
