Encapsulating issues of race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and more, the general public has witnessed an increasing weaponization of rhetoric and policymaking to suppress and target efforts to pursue educational equity – in many cases influenced and amplified by religious faith-based organizations. This paper explores the intersection of efforts to pursue educational equity and theology within a faith-based school through a qualitative case study examining the use of an equity audit focused on parent participation. The paper's findings detail the experiences, perspectives, and beliefs that surface from educator participation as well as generalized insights from the application of a theologically-rooted framework for educational equity within a faith-based educational institution.
