Computational thinking (CT) skills play a crucial role in our technology-driven society. To nurture these skills, leveraging collaboration can be a useful strategy, especially in technology-rich environments (TREs) like immersive games, blocked-based programming environments, and robotic toolkits. In our systematic review, we examined 55 studies, including 38 journal articles, 6 conference papers, 8 proceedings, 2 symposiums, and 1 dissertation, following the PRISMA method. Through this investigation, we examined how collaboration within TREs impacts CT skills among K-12 students and types of learning theories being used in these environments. Our findings highlight the impact of collaboration on students' CT skills within TREs, and contribute to the development of effective learning environments that facilitate collaboration focusing on CT skills.
