Research Practice Partnerships provide an opportunity to link scholarship directly with the immediate and practical needs of schools and communities. This paper reports on a partnership between a Northern University and a local school district that used a mixed-methods design to engage in a comprehensive equity review alongside professional learning opportunities for administrators and faculty members focused on culturally sustaining teaching practices. As a true collaboration, we worked together across institutional boundaries to design the project, including the collection and analysis of data. The professional learning opportunities were designed to support a cohort of district and teacher leaders to use data to make decisions that would address the gaps identified and better support students from culturally and linguistically non-dominant backgrounds.
