The study analyzes black women’s expression of racial ressentiment in Brazil. The data came from 36 autobiographic narratives written by Brazilian Black women and published in a blog. The study is inspired by a post-structuralist perspective and guided by Nietzsche’s (1998) work that connected affection and the political. Using qualitative analysis, the study shows how racial ressentiment is expressed by black women in their narratives. The results indicate the ressentiment as a consequence of discriminatory practices might become a condition for Afro-descendant women to fight against racism and be redirected to political struggle and ethical transformation.
