[Project] aimed at creating opportunities for students to learn and use data science in their courses. We develop flexible and reusable data science curriculum materials that may be integrated into courses. To disseminate our resources and strategies, we designed and organized a workshop where faculty participants explored some of these newly created data science modules as well as the process that led to their design with the team and the other instructors. In this paper, we explore the factors that led participants to join a professional development workshop, their needs for incorporating data science in their courses, and the impacts of the workshop on their practice. Our findings revealed that [Project] workshop was very successful in promoting change of practice.
