Abstract
Leadership for a systemic approach to racism, widening income disparity, and increasing educational inequalities requires development of leaders able to shift their focus to facilitation of cross-sector reciprocal relationships with other youth-serving sectors. This paper describes a CPAR Project initiated by the students in a new diverse, cross-sector Ed.D. who believed that aspects of their experiences were unique, including intentional cohort composition and their role in the program’s evolution. Group explorations revealed their individual and collective transformations. The findings have the potential to contribute to creation of other advanced degree programs that will create space for contribution of cross-sector and community wisdom to the social justice imperative of the education system.
