Three BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) women faculty engage in testimonio and dialogue to analyze how their collective community cultural wealth (Yosso, 2005) brings them the strength, motivation, and determination to continue their work in a Predominantly White Institution (PWI). This paper focuses on all six types of capital in Yosso’s community cultural wealth model for the purpose of breaking out of society’s deficit narratives of the author’s minoritized identities, and instead leverages their lived experiences as sources of wealth and strength.
