This project traces tensions and debates in the lead up (1962-1968) to the Rockefeller Foundation's funding of the "Toward Equal Opportunity for All" (EO) and Upward Bound (UB) programs. Part of a larger effort to explore foundation philanthropy as (white) racialized organizations charged with distributing resources, benefits and burdens, this work draws on original archival research, critical content analysis, and historical case study methods to analyze and re-story the record.
