This work presents the validation of a measure of perceptions of social determinants of health and health equity. A sample of pharmacy students was used from four schools who completed the measure as part of a pre-post study designed to assess an instructional activity on SDOH and health inequities. The measure was analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis and it showed four subscales: understanding, beliefs, attitude, and behavioral. Overall, the measure is sufficiently sensitive to detect change over time or due to an intervention. Complete or individual utilization of the relevant subscales could be used by healthcare professional programs to measure SDOH and health equity, at one point in time or continuously.
