Abstract

Research that explores the challenges faced by Black queer students, and the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all students is hard to find unless you're focused on safety and violence. This paper delves into intersectionality of race and sexuality and impacts on the educational experiences of marginalized students. Educators must incorporate culturally relevant pedagogy that ensures an equitable education for Black queer students. This paper discusses challenges faced by Black queer students and how these challenges affect their academic performance and overall well-being. In this paper are recommendations and strategies that can be implemented to create a more inclusive and
supportive school environment for marginalized students, regardless of their race, gender
identity, or sexuality.
