Abstract

The purpose of this longitudinal case study is to examine the long-term outcomes of dual enrollment participation and to gain an understanding of how dual enrollment participation can impact students’ persistence through college and beyond. In this mixed-methods investigation, data from students who participated in a year-long dual enrollment program, “Educator Ready” (pseudonym) was analyzed to investigate the following: (1) Explore how a dual enrollment program influences participants’ behaviors and attitudes within post-secondary education settings; (2) Describe the long-term outcomes of participation in a dual enrollment program on participants' persistence through post-secondary education and beyond.
