In this qualitative single case study we present an adaptation of the Powerful Learning Experiences (PLE) framework for K-12 instruction. This framework was modified through a district-university partnership. This study examines the process through which the modification took place while presenting the adaptation to the PLE framework, which we refer to as the PLE-K12. We present two major findings: first, the modifications to the framework and the adapted PLE-K12; second, the partnership process through which the modification took place.
