Multiculturalism and leadership seem to have an intersection, receiving attention in research around the word in terms of diversity, equity, and race issues. Nonetheless, it is scarce the knowledge about tendencies among societies based on this intersection. We reviewed 52 indexed publications from main databases, following PRISMA methodology. Results at the post-K12 level show that most studies conceptualize multiculturality as discussions of diversity or race, and less often as gender or intersectional perspectives, while leadership generally focuses on programs with emphasis on minorities at the student and academic level, addressing their scarce diversity in higher education. Paradoxically, the prevalence of Anglo-Saxon documents gives insights of academic (post)colonialism. We concluded the relevance of analyzed dimensions for social justice and equity frameworks.
