Abstract

This paper discusses how well we, as a nation, are ensuring all youth, young adults, and adults navigate what the Center for Education and the Workforce refer to as “good jobs” (Carnevale et al., 2022). Using 13 indicators created based on the data from the U.S. Department of Education and Integrated Public Use Microdata Series (IPUMS USA), the paper presents overall career readiness scores as a nation and aims to provide state-level data and information that can increase access to quality career readiness programs and services at the state level.
